The 2026 Zootopia Special Education Dance is coming up on March 3rd! Quickly fill out an application on MyPaymentsPlus to save a spot as a mentor and join the appropriate remind group (@1dance26 for A-G last names, @2dance26 for H-M last names, and @3dance26 for N-Z last names).

Requirements

****All requirements must be met to attend the Dance and the Special Education Field Days.****

1) Payment and Application Fee

All mentors must submit an application and pay a fee on MyPayments Plus. Prices start from $25, and they will increase to $30 by February 7th. After February 21st, fees will be increased to $35, but getting a shirt and becoming a mentor is not guaranteed. While the application deadline is 11:59pm on February 24th, absolutely no fees will be accepted after March 1st.

2) Attend an Information Meeting

Mentors must either attend a morning meeting (7:40am) in the theater on February 25th or an afternoon meeting (3:45pm) in the cafeteria on February 26th or 27th.

3) Get Approval

Since the dance will last for the most part of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd block classes, mentors must receive a teacher’s signature in a future application. Moreover, to obtain a pass to leave class at 9:30am, students must wear their mentor shirt on the day of the event.

4) Attend a Set-Up Event

Mentors must attend at least two 3-hour set-up events on either February 27th (3:45pm to 7pm), March 1st (10am to 1pm or 1pm to 4pm), or March 2nd (12pm until all tasks are complete). Without completing a total of 6 hours of set-up, students will not receive their shirts.

5) Be a Helping Hand

During the dance, mentors are expected to help guests and make them feel welcomed. This includes greeting them at the door, dancing with them, or providing service if they are in trouble. Once the dance ends, all mentors must assist in clean-up based on their assigned role until they are dismissed.
