From September 18th to 28th, the North Georgia State Fair will be back in Marietta at the Jim R. Miller Park. Interested fair goers should stay informed about hours, pricing, and special events.
Hours
On weekdays, the park opens at 4pm, but from Monday to Thursday, it closes at 11pm, while on Friday, it closes at midnight. On weekends, the park opens at 12:30pm, but it closes at 10pm on Sunday and by midnight on Saturday. In all cases, people under 17 are not allowed without a parent.

From Sunday to Thursday, no entry is allowed after 9pm. These restrictions are lighter on Friday and Saturday, during which entry is permitted until 10pm.
Pricing
Parking is free, but people must pay for both gate admission and ride tickets.
Gate Admission
A one-time ticket bought from the official website before the opening day of the fair costs $11.03 (with tax). However, it is still possible to purchase tickets in person. The tables below show the gate admission price for each age group.

Interested fair-goers should know that the park follows a clear bag policy, which can be investigated in full detail with this link.
Rides
Each ride requires at least 2 ride tickets. The tables below show the ride price for each package of tickets.

Rather than buying tickets individually, attendees who plan to spend the whole day at the fair may be interested in purchasing a “Pay One Price” ride ticket, which gives them the option to ride as many attractions as they please for a single day. It can be bought before the opening day for $26.23 (with tax) with this link, or it can be purchased in person with varying prices based on the following schedule.

Special Events
Each day of the fair will bring a new special event. People interested in contests may enjoy the North Georgia State Fair Beauty Pageant on September 18 or the Atlanta Parent Beautiful Baby Contest on September 21, while those interested in vehicles may enjoy the derbies on September 24 or the monster truck showcase on September 25. Many other interesting shows and performances that can be explored in detail with this link.
Additionally, MUST Ministries will have a food drive from September 26 to 28. People who donate over 5 cans of non-expired, non-perishable goods can receive free entry.
