
Alysa Liu is a young figure skater who has gained a lot of publicity due to the remarkable talent she possesses in figure skating. As Alysa began training vigorously for figure skating at the age of five, people took notice of her strength and ability to execute incredible jumps and difficult routines. In addition to demonstrating great athletic skill, Alysa has shown the qualities of both generosity and perseverance as an athlete in her own right. By successfully executing difficult routines on an international level at an age when most athletes are just starting their professional careers, Alysa developed her reputation as both a nationally and internationally recognized figure skater with multiple Olympic medals to back up her skills and hard work. Since beginning her competition career at an early age, Alysa has also achieved multiple medals.
Alysa Liu took an extended break from figure skating after years of pushing herself through demanding training regimens and stressful competitions, to try and regain her sense of self. After exploring different interests while on her hiatus, Alysa eventually found the draw of skating too much to resist returning to the sport. However, this time she returned with the intention of creating a new beginning for herself, establishing rules such as choosing her own practice attire and times. After putting in time to get back to her previous level of performance, Alysa decided to compete in the Olympic Games. Liu went on to win gold for Team USA at the 2025 World Figure Skating Championships. This year, she managed to get two gold medals, becoming the first female American figure skater to do so in 24 years.
Liu proved through her determination and effort to succeed that regardless of obstacles or the time off you have from your goals you can come back and continue to grow and succeed in your passions as long as you’re dedicated. Now young figure skaters everywhere look up to Alysa as an example of perseverance and strength.
