There are only 2 more weeks until the end of the fall semester, yet there is still a lot to do. With EOCs, college applications, and finals on the way, it is crucial to stay on top of all deadlines.
EOCs
The English Literature and Composition II EOC has just finished, so next up is the Algebra Concepts and Connections EOC, which will run on December 11 and December 12. During this time, the school will use an alternate bell schedule, which can be found on the ManeMedia website. Moreover, access to the library will be closed while exams are in progress. Students who wish to check out a book can either wait until exams finish or go during each class’s respective planning period.
Senior Information
Congratulations to all students who finished Early Action/Decision! However, for people doing Regular Decision, there may still be more steps. Many college application deadlines are before the start of the upcoming school year, so make plans with your counselor as soon as possible. If students want to send transcripts to non-CommonApp schools or to scholarships, December 17 is the last day to submit a request on MyPaymentsPlus. Remember, each transcript costs $2. If a college requires a midyear report, students can start requesting them on January 15.
Finals
Finals will take place on Thursday, December 18 and Friday, December 19 this year. Both of these days are half days where 1st and 2nd block occur on Thursday and 3rd and 4th block on Friday. Due to the short classes, it is not recommended to bring a backpack. It is also not recommended to bring a lunchbox since there will be no lunch block.
Whether you are focusing on EOCs, college applications, finals, or even Shop with a Mustang, take a moment to pat yourself on the back for all the efforts that have carried you through the fall semester. You are halfway there: don’t give up!
