AP Exams are only a week away, meaning it is more crucial than ever to know what to expect. These exams are taken very seriously and coming late or unprepared can mean severe repercussions.
Arrival and Dismissal
Test takers should arrive at 7:15am for morning tests and 11:30am for afternoon test. It is important to be aware that buses do not accommodate for tests, so it is recommended to ask a parent or friend for help arriving to school on time (for morning testers) or leaving for the day (for afternoon testers).
Additionally, the school will not give students excused absences if they decide to leave school early (for morning testers) or arrive to school late (for afternoon testers).
Location
KMHS students will no longer be hosting AP exams at North Star Hospital. Most tests will be in the gym, but some may be in classrooms. For example, the AP Spanish exam will be held in one of the Spanish classrooms due to a need for certain technology. To find out which exams will be in certain classrooms, message your assigned counselor.
What to Bring
Whether or not an exam is digital or physical, all students should bring a CCSD school-issued laptop that has access to Bluebook, AP Classroom, and Lockdown Browser, as well as pens and pencils (both are required for certain exams). Moreover, even though exams are no longer being held at an external building, it is still a good idea to hold a school-issued ID.
Schedules
There are two weeks of AP exam testing with an additional week for late testing. Refer to the tables below to find out an exam’s testing time as well as its format (digital, hybrid, or paper).
Good luck to all AP test takers! Remember to study hard and take breaks when needed.
