{It’s that time of year when we go out trick or treating, or just stay home with friends or family and watch scary films and carve pumpkins. Here are some fun ideas for you and your family this year!!}
Fun activities to do with friends and family:
- Spooky movie night
- Pumpkin picking (Perfect for taking great *aesthetic* pictures)
- Take a walk at Swift Cantrell Park (great Halloween setup and attractions)
- GO TRICK OR TREATING!!! (You’re never too old to trick or treat so go dress up and have fun)
- FOLKLORE HAUNTED HOUSE (it’s an amazing scary haunted house for you and your friends, they say it’s a “Breath-taking Haunted Experience”)
- Carve Pumpkins (spooky and cute design inspiration can be found anywhere)
- Baking Halloween/Fall treats with your friends (Baking can create some great memories and fill appetites this season)
TOP 5 Costumes we’re tired of seeing in 2023:
- Costumes that copy/mock anyone’s heritage or beliefs (please be respectful to EVERYONE, to ensure a fun Halloween season)
- ill-fitted Superhero costumes (these costumes can be very corny, are very rarely creative, and have padding and can be very uncomfortable)
- Ghostface (I’ve seen Ghostface costumes over the last 13 yrs. For trick or treating as a whole, it seems like an overused and outdated costume, UNLESS you can find a way to make it brand new)
- ANY STRANGER THINGS COSTUME (pretty basic since Stranger Things has been a staple costume genre for 6 years…. please think outside the box here people)
- ANY INFLATABLE COSTUMES (they constantly get in the way when you’re trying to move around)
All jokes aside, please go out on Halloween, be unique, have fun, and get as much candy and scares as you can 🙂
