This past weekend, KMHS marching band set off on a long journey to compete at the Band of America (BOA) Indianapolis Super Regional, a highly competitive competition hosted by nationally recognized music educators and band experts. Out of over 26,000 high schools in the nation, the Super Regional competition only invites the greatest high school bands in the country. To simply be selected as one of the 87 chosen schools is an enormous accomplishment in itself, one that KMHS prides itself on.

Our students worked tirelessly through long hours of practice and perfection to create an amazing piece that they, and the rest of our community, were proud of. And proud we are. Although the band was just 1.10 points away from qualifying as a finalist, they still placed 6th in class AAA and 21st overall, making them one of the greatest bands in the country!
