Cabaret & Coffee is our school’s yearly talent show, directed and hosted by our very own Chorus Teacher, Patricia Jacobson! Cabaret & Coffee showcases talents from many fields, allowing students of Kennesaw Mountain to display their talents. On the day of the event, we can, at first glance, witness the “Cabaret” part of the show as we watch both Acts 1 and 2. As the audience, we can also admire the talents shown on stage. Afterward, once the show has concluded, we are able to witness the “Coffee” part of the show as we shift from the Theater to the Cafeteria and get provided with goods such as Coffee, bread (donated by Publix), deserts, etc.
This year, auditions for the show were held in the Chorus room on August 20th and 21st. Students of many talents were able to audition and showcase their talents to our judges: our two Co-Presidents, Melanie Koebel and Ben Trussell, and our very own Chorus Director, Patricia Jacobson. They watched each attendee showcase their talents, decided who qualified, and published the final cast list on the Chorus Instagram!
As a tradition that has been going on for the past 25 years, Cabaret & Coffee is an incredibly special event for our school. We hope to see many more of it, so be sure to purchase your ticket and be prepared to be amazed by these talented young performers on September 13th at 7:00 PM at the Susan Gunderman Theater!
