Hey guys! It’s November (at last), and Thanksgiving is coming soon. And what better way to celebrate this festivity than by enjoying time with family, watching movies? Thanksgiving is a time where family is important, and gratitude is what Thanksgiving is about! In this article, I will suggest movies (or shows) for you to watch at home with loved ones!
“Family Matters” is such a marvelous show that is a show that not only gives you laughs, but teaches you valuable lessons and shows importance of family, friends, love and trust. This show was shown to me by my mother and there were episodes where I laughed and cried. I recommend watching an episode (start by the first ones to give you context of who’s who), and tall me what you think!
Of course, you HAVE to watch some “Charlie Brown” for Thanksgiving. This 30-minute movie is such a great film, showing how friends can help you in hard times, and how your dog can cook turkey under a second in movies (IDK, man). Not only should you watch this, but I recommend to watch other “Charlie Brown” movies!
“The Wizard of Oz” is such a nostalgic movie. I watched this movie ever since I could talk, and I loved the plot, music, and friendship between characters who are different, but same at the same time. A scared lion, a heartless tin man, and a brainless scarecrow helped a girl with her dog find her way back home, and in the end….well, you would have to watch this movie to find out! Trust me, this IS an interesting movie to watch!
This adaptation of the 1999 film “Annie” was so tearful for me, it makes me want to watch it again! “Annie” is a beautiful story (or movie, in this case) about an orphan who wants to be loved and adopted. In her journey, she makes friends and is the definition of optimistic. This movie will bring you to tears and, WHEN you watch this, you need a box of tissues. Just in case.
There is so much more I would like to add for this list, and these movies may not be Thanksgiving themed, but importance of family and love, especially gratitude is heavily expressed in these films. So, go ahead and watch the suggested movies/show if you want, and watch more if you want as well! But enjoy your time with those people who love you!
