Boys Track Win 2nd in Region
While many schools have already wrapped up their 2023 track and field season, Kennesaw Mountain continues to crush scores and move along brackets.
Both teams excelled this season with various meet wins. The boys varsity team, however, finished in 2nd place overall during the Track and Field Region Championships this past Monday, 4/19. Here are the stats:
Korbin Brown won the region championship in the High Jump.
The boys 4 by 400 relay won the region championship in an exciting finish. Runners were Azib Rana, Lance Greenlee, Favor Adenuga, and Andrew Young.
DaNya Satterfield finished 2nd in the Long Jump with a new school record.
Others who qualified for the Sectional meet include: Jessica Jenkins, Melissa Ubani, Raeya Townsend, Olivia Daniels, Kayla Garrett, and Shaniah McDaniel. For the boys, the qualifiers were Ryan Nash, Ahmad Ibrahim, and Devin Barolette.
The team will next compete at the Sectionals meet on May 6th at Carrollton High School.
