DECA: The Wounded Warrior Project
October 28, 2015
The Wounded Warrior Project is an organization whose goal is to help raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of wounded veterans of the military following the events of September 11, 2001. Forty-nine percent of all wounded warriors live right here in the South and 55% of all wounded warriors are under the age of 35.
The DECA organization here at “The Mountain” is involved in a community service project that helps with the Wounded Warrior Project. They want you to support and raise awareness for the wounded veterans. You can help by either making donations or writing letters to the wounded warriors. If you want to contribute in any way see Mrs Fiechtl in room 218.
Because of your generosity, 100,000 warriors will be served and 10,000 caregivers will be employed. In all, $96 million in benefit entitlements will be secured the warriors and their families. From all of the members of DECA and the Wounded Warriors, we thank you for your contribution.
